October 2020

This year has demanded a lot from you, but you also have shown you are up to whatever test the universe decides to throw your way. This year shows an enormous ability to get ahead in your career, so no matter what situations you encounter, you need to keep pressing forward. You have a once-in-a-lifetime stack-up of planets—good-fortune Jupiter, powerhouse Pluto, and teacher Saturn—in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. As soon as Saturn leaves on December 16 and moves to another part of your chart, the pressure you’ve felt at work will be released. Saturn is not due back for almost three decades. Jupiter will leave too, not to be back for 12 years.

Saturn always leaves a gift by the door when he departs as thanks for dealing with his rigorous teaching, and at that time, or shortly thereafter, perhaps by January, you will likely see your reward, such as a promotion or offer from a competitive company. You’ve been under a three-year testing period meant to show your mettle to higher-ups. You are doing so well. If the pandemic has caused you to lose your job, redouble your efforts to find one before the end of the year. Things may get much better by November, and I will tell you why.

You are fortunate to have Mars in Aries, for this suggests you are starting a new energetic cycle. The only problem is that Mars, your ruler, is currently retrograde, having turned weak on September 9. Mars will go direct November 13.

To add to the weak energy of October, Mercury will also go retrograde, from October 13 to November 3. Miscommunication will proliferate, the mail and express services will struggle to deliver on time, electronic items that are wearing out will start to fizzle, and you’ll have to visit the repair shop. It would not be wise to buy any electronic item in October, even before October 13, as you will feel the slowdown the minute you enter the month.

November 2020

As you move into November you will find the month will go much more smoothly than October. Last month was one of the most frustrating and difficult months of the year, for your ruler, Mars, was still retrograde, a condition that started on September 9. In addition, Mars’ little brother Mercury was retrograde too, in his case since October 13, so with both Mars and Mercury out of sync, few things were clicking into place. You likely had to juggle with postponements, cancellations, changes in direction, re-dos, and possibly computer and mechanical problems, too.

Also, starting at the end of September, the Sun rolled into Libra in direct opposition to Aries, your Sun sign, forcing you to work in a cooperative way rather than to take the lead and be in control, the way you like it. On top of all this, Mars has been in Aries since the end of June, helping you start a new two-year cycle, but you had one difficulty after another getting anything launched into the stratosphere. As you see, you were getting mixed signals from the universe—take control, but no, don’t take control, and go with the thinking of the group (something you rarely like to do). It was enough to make you want to scream.

October also had some of the hardest aspects packed into one month that I have ever seen. The October 1 full moon was challenging because it was in Aries. Then came the new moon, which is usually sweet but was not this time. It appeared on October 16 in Libra with Mars and Pluto at sharp odds, and the dispute between these two titans of the solar system is not quite over. Yet the hardest moment of last month turned out to be October 31 when a large, super full moon, as big as a pizza pie, falling ironically on Halloween and playing havoc with your financial matters, which might have made you feel broadsided by the news, came at you out of the blue.

December 2020

After a long year that required you to adjust to circumstances you could have never imagined, here you are in December. You will love December because it has so many supportive planets that are perfect for you, dear Aries. One of the most important planets is your ruler Mars, still in Aries since June 27. Mars typically only stays in a sign for six weeks, so this has been remarkable—six months of having Mars all to yourself, in your sign, is so rare and quite a privilege. You certainly have been able to set the tone of events around you.

There was a little glitch, though, in that Mars went retrograde on September 9 and finally went direct on November 13. Yet when Mars woke up, he was groggy and moved around like a dizzy, spinning bowling pin about to fall over at any moment. It takes a little time for Mars to ramp up to full strength, and although he will be back and fully strong by January 2, 2021, you won’t have to wait that long to enjoy the difference. Every day in every way, Mars will get stronger and help you achieve your goals.

I could see Mars needed a little breakfast to get his energy going, so I popped up and offered to make him a steaming cup of coffee and a delicious home-made bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and walnuts. Sitting at my dining room table, I kept Mars company while he ate during the second half of November (after he turned direct on November 13). By early December, I can see Mars will be in far better shape, and in fact, he’ll be more alert and vibrant than he has been for you in a long time. Remember, he is your ruling planet, and what happens to him matters to you—Mars takes extra weight in your chart.
