Former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden denied the existence of organized Antifa groups during the first presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday. 

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace had asked President Trump if he was willing "to condemn white supremacists and militia groups, and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities, as we saw in Kenosha and as we’ve seen in Portland?"

"Sure, I'm willing to do that. I would say almost everything I see is from the left-wing, not from the right-wing," Trump replied, telling the Proud Boys to "stand back and stand by."

"But I tell you what, somebody has got to do something about Antifa and the left because this is not a right-wing problem, this is a left-wing problem," Trump added.

"Antifa is an idea, not an organization, that's what his FBI director said," Biden replied.

(breitbart) – CLAIM: Both moderator Chris Wallace and Democrat nominee Joe Biden claimed that President Trump said in response to riots in Charlottesville in 2017 that neo-Nazis were “very fine people.”

VERDICT: FALSE.

Biden has repeated this hoax since the beginning of his campaign. Wallace knows better.

As Breitbart News has noted in fact check after fact check:

President Trump repeatedly condemned the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville in August 2017 — “totally.”

Moreover, the neo-Nazis were not the only violent group in Charlottesville. The “clash” was not with those “standing against” hate peacefully, but with violent, black-clad Antifa extremists.

Joe Biden was allowed to spew falsehood after falsehood last night while Wallace asked not one single question about the massive scandals surrounding the democrat candidate.

Last night, President Trump was forced to debate both Joe Biden and Chris Wallace. He was forced to respond and listen to a number of blatant lies and many people agree showed remarkable restraint when faced with an actual coup plotter who tried to get him removed from office.

But, Chris Wallace didn’t ask about the Obama administration’s illegal spying… or about Biden’s “Logan Act” comment… He repeatedly interrupted Trump and allowed Biden to spew falsehoods.
 
Fox News host Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat, faced intense backlash on Tuesday night for what was widely deemed as bias in the debate in the favor of Democrat Joe Biden and against Republican President Donald Trump.

One of the issues that Wallace was called out for the most was how he appeared to let Biden interrupt Trump but would jump in to interrupt Trump when Trump would talk over Biden.
